Over the next few days, local and regional firefighters will be performing live fire training at the Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services training facility in North Lethbridge (2825 5 Avenue North).
Due to the nature of this training, residents may see more smoke in the area. Training exercises use specialized fuels to ensure the smoke generated is not harmful to the health of residents or to the environment.
The purpose of this important training is to help firefighters recognize dangerous smoke and fire patterns and to educate them to attack fires in the safest and most effective way.
