If you're searching for a healthy alternative to handing out Halloween candy, the City's swim and skate pass coupon books are back thanks to a partnership between the City of Lethbridge and Recreation Excellence.
Coupon books containing 10 passes – five for free swimming and five for free skating – are available for just $5 each to provide residents with an affordable alternative to Halloween candy.
These popular coupon books sell out quickly so residents are encouraged to buy their booklets early. They can be purchased on the third floor of City Hall or at any Recreation Excellence operated City of Lethbridge swimming pool, while supplies last.
The coupons are good until January 5, 2020 and can be used at any City arena or Nicholas Sheran, Stan Siwik and Fritz Sick pools, during regular public hours.
Coupons are a great alternative for trick-or-treaters with food allergies as well as to promote a healthy, active lifestyle for all kids. There is a high return rate on the coupons each year proving they are appreciated and used by the families that receive them.
This offer aligns with the Teal Pumpkin Project, an international movement to make Halloween more inclusive for all children by creating awareness of food allergies. For information and resources on how you can join the Teal Pumpkin Project visit www.tealpumpkin.org.
