Heritage Day Holiday Service Changes 2019

Lethbridge 311

The Lethbridge 311 office will be closed on Monday, August 5. Our customer service specialists will return on Tuesday, August 6 at 8 a.m.
We have a 24/7 self-service site available at 311.lethbridge.ca to help with your questions. For urgent issues, a 24-hr trouble line is available at 311.

City Hall & Stafford Centre

City Hall and Stafford Centre are closed on Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day. Both facilities will reopen as usual on Tuesday, August 6 at 8 a.m.

Downtown Parking

Parking in the downtown will be free on Monday, August 5. The parking kiosks will not accept money on the holiday Monday and the Way to Park app will only take payment for month parking passes. Regular parking rates will be back in effect on Tuesday, August 6.

 

Animal Shelter

The Lethbridge Animal Shelter will be closed on Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day and will reopen for regular hours on Tuesday, August 6.

Transit Service

Lethbridge Transit

Lethbridge Transit will be operating on Monday, August 5 on its Sunday/Holiday Schedule. The Transit Office, including customer service will be closed on August 5 for Heritage Day.

ACCESS-A-Ride

ACCESS-A-Ride Booking and customer service will be closed on Monday, August 6 for Heritage Day. ACCESS-A-Ride will be running using its holiday schedule

Waste & Recycling

  • Residential collection will not be affected by the Heritage Day holiday
  • Yard Waste Sites remain open during holidays from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.  
  • The Waste & Recycling Centre is closed on Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day.

Pools & Arenas

Pools

  • Pools operated by Recreation Excellence
    • Henderson Pool: Open 1-7 p.m. (weather permitting)

      Admission is FREE in exchange for a non-perishable food bank item

       
    • Fritz Sick Pool: Closed Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day
    • Nicholas Sheran Pool: Closed Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day
    • Stan Siwik Pool: Closed Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day

      Please Note:
       In the event of inclement weather on August 5 requiring the closure of Henderson Pool, Nicholas Sheran Pool and Stan Siwik Pool will be open 1-4 p.m. for Open Swim and 4-5 p.m. for Conditioning Swim.


  • Cor Van Ray YMCA at ATB Centre: Open 8 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.; pool and fitness areas will close at 8 p.m. For more information visit www.lethbridgeymca.ca 

  • Westminter Outdoor Public Pool: Lane Swim from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.; Open Swim from 12 p.m. - 5:30pm

    Closed at 5:30 p.m. for private rental. No evening lane swim. 
    All pool hours are dependent on the weather.  Outdoor pools may be closed in poor and risky weather situations, at the discretion of the operator.


Arenas

  • All arenas are closed on Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day.

 

Lethbridge Public Library

The Lethbridge Public Library- Main Branch, The Crossings Branch in west Lethbridge, and the Bookmobile will be closed Monday, August 5 for Heritage Day. Materials that are due can be returned through the book drops outside the buildings.
