Jane's Walk 2019

Join us for the 8th Annual Jane's Walk festival in Lethbridge May 3-5. Jane's Walk is a global pedestrian-powered movement of neighbour-led walking tours inspired by urbanist Jane Jacobs.

The purpose of the walk is to encourage people to get out on the streets of their neighbourhoods to discover unseen, under-celebrated and unique stories about their city. Through the simple act of walking together and discussing what makes a neighborhood, Jane's Walk helps knit people together into stronger and more resourceful communities.

Established in 2012 with a single neighbourhood walk, the Jane's Walk event has grown substantially in popularity and now includes a bicycle-based Jane's Ride, which is entering its third year. This year, walks will be offered in all parts of the city sharing diverse content including: reconciliation, coulee snake habitat, Lethbridge's new Legacy Park, neighborhood history and more.

Detailed walk descriptions, times, meeting locations, and walk leader biographies can be found at Follow Jane's Walk Lethbridge on Twitter and Instagram at @janeswalkLETH and on Facebook at
