Join us for the 7th Annual Jane's Walk festival in Lethbridge May 4-6. Jane's Walk is a global pedestrian-powered movement of neighbour-led walking tours inspired by urbanist Jane Jacobs.
The purpose of the walk is to encourage people to get out on the streets of their neighbourhoods to discover unseen, under-celebrated and unique stories about their city. Through the simple act of walking together and discussing what makes a neighborhood, Jane's Walk helps knit people together into stronger and more resourceful communities.
Established in 2012 with a single neighbourhood walk, the Jane's Walk event has grown substantially in popularity and now includes a bicycle-based Jane's Ride, which is entering its third year. This year, walks will be offered in all parts of the city sharing diverse content including: coulee plant diversity, Lethbridge's historical theatres, neighborhood history and more.
Detailed walk descriptions, times, meeting locations, and walk leader biographies can be found at www.bit.ly/janeswalkleth. Follow Jane's Walk Lethbridge on Twitter and Instagram at @janeswalkLETH and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/janeswalkLETH.
