Community invited to participate in planning Jane’s Walk 2019

You're invited to join the kick-off meeting for the 8th Annual Jane's Walk at City Hall, Thursday Feb 28, 2019. Learn about leading a walk or volunteering for this year's Jane's Walk Festival taking place May 4 and 5. Anyone can lead a walk and the Jane's Walk team will provide support along the way.

Jane's Walk is a global pedestrian-powered movement of free neighbour-led walking tours inspired by urbanist and activist Jane Jacobs.

Jane's Walk brings people together to explore and discover unseen, under-celebrated and unique stories about their neighbourhoods. Through the simple act of walking together and discussing what makes a neighborhood, Jane's Walk helps knit people together into stronger and more resourceful communities.

Established in Lethbridge in 2012 with a single neighbourhood walk, the Jane's Walk event has grown substantially in popularity. This year, the goal is to continue sharing the diversity of local interests, passion and knowledge.

Jane Jacobs was passionate about community, neighbourhood life and city building. If you are too, join us on Thursday Feb 28, 2019 to explore how you'd like to be involved with the Jane's Walk Festival 2019.
