Labour Day Service Changes

​City Hall & Stafford Centre

City Hall and Stafford Centre are closed on Monday, September 3 for Labour Day. Both buildings will reopen as usual on Tuesday, September 4 at 8 a.m.  

Animal Shelter

The Lethbridge Animal Shelter will be closed on Monday, September 3 for Labour Day. It will be open regular hours on Tuesday, September 4.  

Transit Services

Lethbridge Transit, including its Customer Service Centre, will be closed on Monday, Sept. 3 for Labour Day. Transit buses will not be running.  
The ACCESS-A-Ride office will also be closed, but ACCESS-A-Ride buses will be running on a holiday service schedule.  

Garbage Collection

Residential garbage collection will not be affected by the Labour Day holiday.
The three Yard Waste Sites remain open on holidays.  
The Waste & Recycling Centre is closed on Monday, Sept. 3 for Labour Day.

Lethbridge Public Library

The Lethbridge Public Library- Main Branch, The Crossings Branch and the Bookmobile will be closed Monday, Sept. 3 for Labour Day. Materials that are due can be returned through the book drops outside the buildings.

Helen Schuler Nature Centre

The Helen Schuler Nature Centre will be open 10 a.m.-5 p.m. through the Labour Day long weekend Sept. 1, 2, & 3. Stop by to explore our current exhibit Deer, Moose, and Elk and the community art gallery exhibit At Our Fingertips: the Hidden World of Insects and Spiders. For more information visit or call 403-320-3064.

The Galt Museum will be open 1-5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3.

Fort Whoop-Up

Fort Whoop-Up will be open 1-5 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 3. Enjoy the final day of the season! The Fort will host a family-friendly root beer-tasting event from 1-4 p.m. There will also be Blackfoot games from 1:30-2:30 p.m. and country music bingo from 3-4 p.m.
