On Monday, May 31, Lethbridge City Hall will be re-opening to the public in a limited capacity.
Only services on the first floor will be open, with the rest of City Hall closed to the public. Residents will enter through the primary doors on the 4 Avenue side of City Hall. The east entrance doors will remain closed.
Although City Hall will be open if required, residents are still encouraged to make online and telephone inquiries whenever possible, rather than visiting City Hall. Utility and Tax payments can also be paid at your bank (including both online and telephone banking). Applications for permits and payments for business licenses, dog licenses and parking tickets can be paid by visiting www.lethbridge.ca
Since City Hall re-opened after the first COVID-19 shut down in June 2020, many steps have been taken to ensure interactions are done safely for the wellbeing of both staff and visitors. This includes directional signage for one-way foot traffic to manage proper physical distancing, adhering to all public health guidelines. During the current closure, more work has been done to review the processes in place making any required changes to help enhance safety.
The decision to re-open City Hall is reflective of the City’s increased ability to maintain a safe environment for all staff and visitors, the decline of active COVID cases in the City and the uptake of vaccination by residents.
