At approximately 8 p.m. Sunday night, fire crews responded to a fire in the 2400 block of 2A Avenue N.
Crews from four stations arrived to find flames and smoke venting from one of several stacks located on the property. Crews were on scene for several hours trying to fully extinguish the fire while minimizing damage and loss.
Two plant workers were assessed by EMS for minor injuries but were not transported to hospital. One firefighter also sustained a minor injury but continued on with his shift.
A damage estimate is unavailable at this time as machinery has to be fully inspected to determine damage.
The cause and origin of the fire is still under investigation.
