Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a single-family house fire along the 800 block of 27 Street North at approximately 2 p.m. on Monday, February 13.
Fire crews from three stations responded and found extensive smoke coming from the residence. Crews made a quick entry and extinguished a small fire on the main floor. During fire suppression operations, a male occupant was found deceased.
While the fire is still under a joint investigation by Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services and Lethbridge Police Service, the death is believed to be non-criminal in nature and no further information will be released. Damage to the residence has been estimated at approximately $200,000.
