At approximately 5 a.m. Sunday morning, Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential detached garage fire in the 300 block of 20 Street North.
Nineteen crew members from four stations responded and extinguished the fire within an hour.
No injuries were reported.
An investigation was completed and the fire has been classified as incendiary.
The damage estimate is $3,000. For safety concerns, the structure was demolished.
The Fire Prevention Bureau would like to remind property owners with vacant/abandoned buildings to ensure that the structures are safe and secured at all times. Insecure structures may put the public and first responders at risk.
