In order to facilitate improvements at the intersection of University Drive, Walsh Drive and Heritage Boulevard West, there will be a series of lane closures and intermittent controlled traffic stops on Sunday, April 8 from 8 a.m. to mid-afternoon.
Motorists are advised to consider alternate routes to access businesses to the northeast and to the west of this intersection.
Crews will be running electrical wire between the traffic signal poles and removing two median poles on University Drive. Additional lane closures will be required until mid-July to finish this work (weather permitting), including changes to curb lines, the addition of new lanes, new traffic signals and street lights and the reconstruction of Walsh Drive from Argyll Road West to University Drive.
