Starting Monday, August 16, 43 Street South from 33 Avenue to 40 Avenue will be closed so crews can work on a new pathway adjacent to the road.
Residents in the area will be further notified as there will be temporary traffic controls set up, limiting access to local traffic only.
The pathway is required as that section of 43 Street South does not currently have any pedestrian features. This project will help create access for students to the new Dr. Robert Plaxton Elementary School.
This work is expected to be completed by August 31, weather permitting.
Message boards will be placed at key points to further advise the public.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution in this area and follow posted detours.
