Effective at 8 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, Scenic Drive North at the Highway 3 overpass will have reduced lane capacity in order to facilitate work on the new pedestrian bridge.
Southbound traffic will be limited to one lane near the Scenic Drive/Highway 3 overpass. Temporary traffic control will be coordinated with work at 102 Scenic Drive and will be reduced to a single lane in each direction farther south.
Highway 3 will also be fully closed in both directions effective 10 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, as Volker Stevin will be performing girder erection work for the new pedestrian bridge adjacent to Scenic Drive. Detours will be in place.
This work is expected to be completed and Highway 3 is expected to be fully opened by 5 a.m. Thursday, August 26, weather permitting. Updated information will be communicated should there be any material or logistical delays. Southbound Scenic Drive traffic will be limited to one lane until equipment can safely be demobilized.
Information Message Boards have been placed along Highway 3 with notification of the full highway closure date and time.
Motorists are advised to drive with caution in this area and follow posted detours.
