Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a residential fire this morning at approximately 3 a.m. Several 911 callers reported flames coming from a garage, which quickly spread to another garage, a residence and vehicles. The Public Safety Communications Centre (911 Dispatch) advised the Lethbridge Police Service of the fire and police members who were patrolling in the area responded and began to evacuate neighbouring residences.
21 firefighters from four stations responded and upon arrival found at least one structure fully engulfed in flames. Crews worked for several hours to extinguish the fire and ensure hot spots were all out. There were no injuries reported. Fire investigators are currently on scene conducting an investigation into the origin, cause and circumstances of the fire.
