Important upgrades will be happening at Henderson Lake over the next month to enhance public safety and improve the structure of the retaining wall.
The wooden wall structure near the concession plaza will be replaced by a terraced stone wall, complete with seating areas, extended water access and safety lighting. During construction, specific sections of the pathway will be closed to the public and park visitors are asked to following any posted signs near the work areas.
Construction is scheduled to begin Friday, October 27 and is expected to wrap up by the end of November, weather permitting.
The City of Lethbridge recognizes that Henderson Lake is a well-used and well-loved resource in the community. To help minimize the impact on the public, this work was scheduled for the fall. Residents are thanked for their patience during this time.
