In an effort to provide better service for Lethbridge Transit users, the 23/24 route will be re-aligned to a corridor that is more central to residential and shopping areas.
The route currently travels along Scenic Drive with very few places for residents to get on and off. As of August 28, the route will follow Stafford Drive with more opportunities for riders to access homes and retail areas. Transit riders will find signage at the impacted bus stops this week giving notice of the change.
Route 23 will travel south on Stafford Drive rather than west on 9 Ave N, south on Scenic Drive or east 4 Ave S. Route 24 will no longer travel west on 4 Ave, north on Scenic Drive or west on 9 Ave N, but will instead travel north using Stafford Drive.
The schedule for the two routes will remain the same, they will be at the City Centre terminal at top and bottom of the hour and the north terminal at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour.
With this change, transit stops will be removed along Scenic Drive and 9 Ave N. See map below.
