Splish splash, spray parks are back!

We are pleased to announce that, beginning today, the City's spray parks are open – with the inclusion of Legacy spray park.

At 550 square metres, Legacy spray park, located in the north end of Legacy Park, now offers the largest spray park location in the city. It features three circular splash zones divided into a tot area, family area and 5-12 years of age area. Each zone has a hand print activator, which triggers the water flow to the features in that zone.

The Legacy spray park plaza contains tables, benches, lounge chairs and seat walls. There is also a grassed area with tables and shade sails. Restrooms and change rooms are located in the Pavilion building next to the spray park.

In addition to Legacy spray park opening, Rotary Centennial Fountain, located in the southeast corner of Galt Gardens, and Gyro spray park, located behind Nicholas Sheran Arena are now open.

Spray parks are free of charge to all visitors at all locations.

Spray parks will remain open until the Labour Day long weekend in September, or as summer weather permits. Hours of operation are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily for all three locations.

Stay tuned, as there will be an official grand opening of Legacy spray park, in addition to other phase two Legacy park features, this summer.
