Two residential structure fires

​Lethbridge Fire & EMS crews responded to two residential structure fires late last night.

At approximately 9:20 p.m. a 911 call reported a fire inside a residence at 1605 19 Avenue North. 17 fire fighters from three stations responded and were able to have the fire under control in less than an hour. There were no injuries sustained to the resident or fire fighters. As this investigation is still ongoing, damage value has not been fully assessed at this time. A fire investigator conducted a preliminary investigation, with a complete scene analysis scheduled for Monday.

At 9:35 p.m. several calls reported a fire in a garage with a residence above at 721 3 Street South. 17 fire fighters from four stations responded and were able to have the fire under control within two hours. No civilians were injured, however, two fire fighters did sustain minor injuries. Damage is estimated to be around $275,000. A fire investigator attended the scene to conduct a preliminary investigation, with a complete scene analysis scheduled for Monday.
