A total of 2,419 ballots have been cast so far in advance voting for the 2017 Municipal Election. There is one more advance voting opportunity available for residents before Election Day:
- Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. City Hall, 910 4th Avenue South
Advance voting stations are arranged leading up to Election Day Oct. 16 in an effort to ensure all eligible voters have an opportunity to vote. Any eligible voter can vote at an Advance Voting Station, even If the voter is in the city on Election Day.
Lethbridge Transit service will be free on Election Day Monday, Oct. 16!
Remember, to be eligible to vote you must be: at least eighteen years of age, a Canadian Citizen, a resident of Alberta for at least six months before Election Day, a resident of Lethbridge on Election Day, and be able to present ID that shows your name and current address.
Voters can vote for Mayor, up to eight candidates for City Councillor, up to seven candidates for Public School Trustee, and up to five candidates for Separate School Trustee. When casting ballots, voters are not required to vote for the maximum number of candidates in any category.
