Recreation and Culture are located on the 3rd floor of City Hall at 910 - 4th Avenue South.
Recreation and Culture provides opportunities that contribute to the personal well being and quality of life for citizens of our community. This is achieved by direct service through providing and operating facilities plus indirect service through the development of partnership agreements with community organizations who deliver programs or operate services.
We books space at city facilities for public use such as picnic shelters, gyms, sports fields, ice arenas, public land for special events, weddings, Yates and Sterndale Bennett theatres and City Hall. We provide assistance in planning all outdoor public events, making sure groups have all the proper permits in place to help their events run smoothly.
We also liaise with groups such as the Allied Arts Council and the Lethbridge Sport Council and support their programs.
