The Nature Centre
is offering both virtual and in-person school fieldtrips.
In-Person Fieldtrips
Specialized fieldtrips for pre-school to grade 6.
Each program is designed to support Alberta Education's Science Curriculum with interactive
activities & outdoor exploration.
Fall 2021 Virtual Fieldtrips
Join one of our education staff online & discover our amazing local environment!
Each program is designed to complement Alberta Education's Science Curriculum.
Cost: $65 per class | *$20 for each additional class on the same day
Each fieldtrip includes:
1. Pre-Presentation Activity: 20 min in-class activity* led by the teacher
to introduce students to the fieldtrip topic.
2. Interactive Online Presentation:
30 min presentation led by Nature Centre staff
using MS Teams.
3. Post Presentation Activity:
20 min activity* to be completed in class with
the teacher or at home with family.
These activities are a follow up/extension of the
virtual fieldtrip topic.
*All activities will be provided to the teacher
by the Nature Centre.
Outdoor Discovery Tours
Would you like to learn more about our local environment?
Book a tour led by one of our interpretive staff. Programs are suitable for adults, children, EAL classes,
Guides, Scouts and groups with unique requirements.
Each program includes interactive activities & outdoor exploration.
Program topics include:
Bird Watching | Animal Tracking | Geocaching | Wildflowers | Sustainable Building Tours
