Avian Summer - Online Film

Discover the variety of birds that migrate to Southern Alberta each spring, where they come to find
a mate and raise the next generation, before migrating again in the fall.

Avian Summer is available for online rental or digital download (go to naturecentre.ca/aviansummer).
The film is 37 minutes in length and was produced by Rick Andrews over the past two years.

Rick Andrews is a conservation wildlife photographer and film maker from Southern Alberta.
His videos and photos help audiences connect with the diversity of wildlife while encouraging the protection, conservation, and restoration of our natural world.

Rick Andrews has developed a collection of films showcasing resident wildlife in Southern Alberta, including the full-length documentary Wildlife of the Oldman River Valley (2018), as well as documentary shorts including:
Great Horned Owls (2020), Country Club Marmots (2019), and Lethbridge Wild Turkeys (2018).

Proceeds from Avian Summer will benefit the Growing the Grassroots Endowment Fund in support of
nature-based interpretive programming at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre.

Your support of Avian Summer will benefit the Nature Centre as it grows with our community.
