Join the Pollinator Party! 

May 12 – 31 the Nature Centre will have a variety of pollinator activities out along park trails in Lethbridge. 

Head out for a walk and enjoy Bee BINGO, try a Pollinator Scavenger Hunt or play along in a game
of Eye Spy. Discover some of the amazing pollinators and plants that call Lethbridge home!

  • Wildflower Eye Spy – Take a walk in the Scenic Drive Dog Run and see if you can spy some of the beautiful spring flowers! Look for these Eye Spy signs along the trail to help you identify flowers blooming nearby.
  • Pollinator Scavenger Hunt – Look for hidden pollinators along Nature Quest trail in the Lethbridge Nature Reserve. Stop by the kiosk in front of the Nature Centre to pick up a Beginner or Advanced Pollinator Scavenger Hunt sheet. 

*Due to updated health measures, Guided Fieldtrips will not be available until June 2021*

Programs will take place entirely outdoors. Cost: $35/ program

Choose from one of the following topics for your 1 hour private tour: 

  • Mammals – Explore the world of mammals big & small. Find out how to identify who is who.

  • Birds – The river valley is home to many different birds, some that stay year round & some that 
    are here for part of the year. Discover the amazing birds that can be found in Lethbridge. 

  • Cottonwood Forest – Discover the only native tree species found in Lethbridge. Explore some of

    the creatures that depend on the cottonwood forest.

Discover the variety of birds that migrate into Southern Alberta each spring, where they come to find
a mate & raise the next generation, before migrating south again in the fall.

Rick Andrews is a conservation wildlife photographer & film maker from Southern Alberta.  
His work connects people with wildlife while promoting the importance of protecting 
& restoring our natural world for future generations.
