Covid Support

Looking for community services and supports available during this crisis and in recovery?

The City of Lethbridge has been working with HelpSeeker and the community to find and create a comprehensive list of what is operating and available.

This is an unusual time and due to the ever-changing nature of the situation, the City of Lethbridge encourages you to take normal precautions when accessing any of these services as they are not listed here as an endorsement of or by the City of Lethbridge, and have not been vetted as such.

For the current list please visit HelpSeeker.org - a free location-based help services network that allows you to find the closest, most relevant service for your needs with complete privacy.

A printable pdf of the listings can be found here (updated March 11, 2021)

For other information on what the City of Lethbridge is doing in response to COVID-19 please visit www.lethbridge.ca/covid19

Are you a service provider or business who is offering support or services?

Please create an account on HelpSeeker's website and enter your information, making sure to check the COVID box. We ask that you please keep your listing up-to-date as your programs or services change.

Are you looking for child care or after school care for your child(ren)?

  1. When you go to the HelpSeeker website, click on FIND HELP.
  2. On the next page, put Lethbridge in the location field, and then simply click on ADVANCED SEARCH at the top of the page.  In the list that is created, click "Child Care".
  3. A list of many of the local child care agencies that have spots available will be created and will also be mapped out on the map of Lethbridge.

The following resources may also help:

  • For child care subsidy, please visit the Government of Alberta website for information on that program and the application.
  • To find all licensed centres in the province, please visit the Government of Alberta look up tool.

Are you looking for a business or to find out what is open?

As the recovery from COVID-19 evolves, more and more businesses are finding ways to offer their products and services to customers.  We recommend using the websites and social media where there are many lists created to support and shop locally.  Two that we know of include: Neighborhood Hero and Things That Are Open.

Are you a business owner looking for information?

Economic Development Lethbridge has created a website for information for business owners. Please check out this page.

For questions related to business recovery you can reach them at recovery@chooselethbridge.ca or 587-800-3356.

Looking for things to do?

The Active Lethbridge website is providing daily listings of things to do - both outdoor and indoor - on their blog.  Check it frequently for new ideas.  To share your ideas and resources, or if you are offering online or virtual activities, please email the information to lori.harasem@lethbridge.ca to be included on this website.

The City of Lethbridge's Recreation and Culture Guides since April 2020 have included at-home and outdoor ideas for every day. Check out the online guides (current and past) here.
