Covid Support

‚ÄčLooking for community services and supports available during this crisis?

The City of Lethbridge has been working with HelpSeeker and the community to find and create a comprehensive list of what is still operating and available.

This is an unusual time and due to the urgent and ever-changing nature of the situation, the City of Lethbridge encourages you to take normal precautions when accessing any of these services as they are not listed here as an endorsement of or by the City of Lethbridge, and have not been vetted as such.

For the current list please visit
HelpSeeker.org - a free location-based help services network that allows you to find the closest, most relevant service for your needs with complete privacy.

A printable pdf of the listings can be found here (updated May 15th)

Please note that we will update this pdf regularly as more service providers list and update their services on HelpSeeker's website.

Are you looking for a business or to find out what is open?

As the reponse to COVID-19 evolves, more and more businesses are finding ways to offer their products and services to customers.  We recommend using the websites and social media where there are many lists being created to support and shop locally.  Two that we know of include: Neighborhood Hero and Things That Are Open.

Are you a business owner looking for information?

Economic Development Lethbridge has created a website for information for business owners. Please check out this page.

For questions related to business recovery you can reach them at recovery@chooselethbridge.ca or 587-800-3356.

Are you an agency in need of respite staffing?  Or are you looking for work in social services?

Agencies who are in need of respite staffing - casual, part time, and/or full time, and individuals with experience, skills, qualifications and/or interest in working in social services, are invited to apply through Fifth on Fifth's Respite Staffing program by filling out the forms on their website.

Looking for things to do?

The Active Lethbridge website is providing daily listings of things to do - both outdoor and indoor - on their blog.  Check it frequently for new ideas.  To share your ideas and resources, or if you are offering online or virtual activities, please email the information to lori.harasem@lethbridge.ca to be included on this website.

The City of Lethbridge's Recreation and Culture Guides for April, May and June are filled with at-home ideas.  Check out the online guide here.

Volunteers interested in connecting with individuals seeking supportive phone calls can get more information by connecting with Volunteer Lethbridge at helpinghands@volunteerlethbridge.com or 403-332-4320.

Individuals wishing to receive phone calls may also reach out to the email address or phone number above, and request being a recipient of regular or one-time supportive phone calls, or for help connecting with community supports.

Organizations who wish to have some information to help them reach out via phone to their members, can contact David at CMHA, Alberta South Region, for a package of information to assist with making calls and resources to be able to share, by reaching out to davidg@cmhalethbridge.ca

Those interested in dropping off postcards to their neighbours and/or in the community can print postcards at home to distribute -  3 different postcards are available (please note that there are two different back sides, one requiring your information and one with more general support information - please print what you are comfortable with).
