Fun Pass

Just one swipe to swim, skate, explore & create.

To better meet the needs of the community, the City of Lethbridge is excited to introduce the new Fun Pass. Now residents can purchase activity passes and register for programs all on one easy-to-use card.

Please note: the Fun Pass is accepted at Henderson, Fritz Sick, Nicholas Sheran, and Stan Siwik pools but is not accepted at the YMCA, U of L, or Westminster Outdoor Pool.

The Fun Pass is a single swipe card that will be more convenient and flexible for individuals and families using a variety of City of Lethbridge facilities. This pass can be loaded with different recreation and culture activities.

You can get a Fun Pass at City of Lethbridge pools, operated by Recreation Excellence, skating rinks (excluding the ENMAX) and the Helen Schuler Nature Centre.

Is there an additional fee?

No, this new card, as well as a key fob are included when you purchase a pass or register for a program with one of the participating facilities.

Currently, the Fun Pass can be loaded with swim and skate pass purchases as well as registration to programs offered at the Helen Schuler Nature Centre.

Your Fun Pass holds a barcode that is unique to you, therefore, each member of your family is required to scan their card upon entry. This will also help us better identify who is accessing our facilities and adjust our programming accordingly.

You still have the option to purchase 10 visit passes but they will now be loaded on your Fun Pass card. When you have used up your designated number of visits, you can reload your card.

Please report your lost card immediately to Jennie Sudo at Jennie.sudo@lethbridge.ca or call 311. Replacement cards cost $5 (GST included).

The City of Lethbridge operates our pools using a fee-for-service structure, meaning we build and maintain the pools but hire other organizations who specialize in this work, to operate them.

Currently, Henderson, Fritz Sick, Nicholas Sheran, and Stan Siwik pools are all operated by Recreation Excellence, which is why one pass for all of these pools is possible.

Because the YMCA is operated by different organization, with different fee structures and payment systems, it is not included in the Fun Pass.

The Cor Van Raay YMCA at ATB Centre is not a single use facility but rather a multi-purpose facility that offers a variety of amenities all under one roof for one user price. Based on availability, once a user pays the daily admission fee or the membership fee,  they have the choice to use the aquatic centre, fitness centre, track, field house, gymnasium, youth centre and indoor play centre. It should be noted if a user purchased a day admission they can come and go throughout the day - the user does not have to stay in the building.
