The Coal Banks Trail is a 2.4m-wide regional pathway linking facilities and parks throughout Lethbridge. It provides a 30km, uninterrupted route from the west side, through the river valley and Henderson Park, to Pavan Park. The trail can be enjoyed by users of all types, including:
- walkers
- runners
- wheelchairs
- in-line skaters
- cyclists
- strollers

Interesting Facts about the Coal Banks Trail...
- named after the original coal mining town in the valley
- was built in 1984-87 as part of the Urban Parks Grant
- west side extension built in 1996
- used in community events such as the Terry Fox Run and Moonlight Run
