I have a question about a position. Who can I talk to?

We include a contact person on each job posting. You can call them and ask any questions you would like about the content of the posting and the job details.

How often are job opportunities posted on the City of Lethbridge website?

We post opportunities on a regular basis – please check back often!  You can also set up a "job alert" online so that specific types of postings are automatically e-mailed to you.

Do you accept general applications for employment?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept general resumes. The best way to be considered for a role is by submitting your application online for a posted position that meets your qualifications and experience. 

How are positions advertised?

We have two types of postings: External and Internal.

• External Postings: are posted on our public website (Lethbridge.ca) as well as on our internal employee intranet and are open to all candidates

• Internal Postings: are posted on our employee intranet, and are filled exclusively by employees of the City of Lethbridge.

The job posting I am interested in closed before I could submit my application, may I still apply?

Applications for posted positions may be submitted until midnight on the closing date. Late applications are not accepted. If you have questions about positions that have closed please contact People & Culture.

Can I apply for more than one position at a time?

We encourage you to apply to any opportunities that meet your skills, education and professional experience.  Once you create your profile on our online portal, it is easy to apply for multiple positions.

How will I know if I am selected for an interview?

When you are selected for an interview, you will receive either a telephone call or e-mail from a People & Culture Representative or the Hiring Manager.
