WHAT IS COMPASS?
The Compass project is a collaboration to build a technology platform that will support social service delivery and the goals set out in the Community Wellbeing and Safety Strategy (CWSS) around system integration and collaboration. It is not a technology, but rather the research and development required to design and build a technology platform that will meet the needs of people accessing services in Lethbridge, social service providers, and decision makers.
WHAT ARE THE GOALS OF THE PROJECT?
In Lethbridge, participation in the Compass project will help inspire the technology foundation required to increase access to supports, optimize and transform service deliver, and generate better data for decision-making and investment.
HOW IS LETHBRIDGE INVOLVED?
As a selected pilot community, Lethbridge will help create technology developed through Compass by participating in product design interviews and a digital readiness survey. Group sessions will then be designed to fill product design gaps and validate information from interviews and surveys. Participation will support the development of a Lethbridge-specific digital transformation blueprint which will support future technology procurement, community-developed best and emerging practices, and detailed recommendations on the technological requirements for improving the social service navigation experience and service delivery in Lethbridge.
