Regular CSD Events with opportunities to volunteer:

Homeless Census
Held every second year, the main purpose of the Homeless Census is to determine the extent of homelessness within the City of Lethbridge, by collecting data through a survey which is compared to the previous year's census.  The census also provides a "snapshot" of how the community can best meet the needs of homeless persons and persons at risk of homelessness in Lethbridge.

By receiving a number of volunteers who are members of the general public and/or part of social service sectors in the city, the census creates public awareness to the serious issue of homelessness and gives citizens a chance to participate in a meaningful event in their city.

Project Connect
Project Connect, held twice a year, in the spring and late fall, provides a one-day opportunity to deliver services to people in our community.  This event is for people living pay cheque to pay cheque, living on the street, in shelters or surfing between family and friends because they are unable to find affordable housing.

This program has shown positive results in getting people connected in the community and into safe, permanent, affordable housing and is a one-day complimentary event dedicated to ending homelessness in our community, as a community.

Project Connect is an easy way to give back to your community either by volunteering for this event or by donating.  In just one day - take a big step towards ending homelessness.

At the Lethbridge Project Connect event people get connected with a variety of local agencies and services including:
