The purpose of this project is to enhance various intersections throughout the city to improve traffic flow and increase safety for both motorists and pedestrians.
A major focus of this project will be on 6 Avenue South. It will include the installation of curb extensions from 11 to 20 Street South and the installation of flashing pedestrian lights (Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons) at 12,15,17 and 19 Street South. These important improvements are recommendations from 6 Avenue South Functional Planning Study that was completed in 2016.
