About the Project:
This project involves the construction of a new community centre in Legacy Park to provide a large community room for public meetings/events. The scope of this project will include the design of a Community Pavilion and Plaza. The new facility will include a community meeting room that can accommodate 50-60 people, a concession area, public washrooms/change rooms and a mechanical room that will service the future adjacent spray park. The entrance plaza to the pavilion will accommodate community gatherings and displays or exhibitions. The entire facility will be open year round and is centrally located, which will make it a focal point of the park.
Project Updates:
September 2021
This project is complete and is now ready for use. The new facility can be rented by members of the public for events.
June 2021
This project is complete and in the warranty phase.
March 2021
This project is substantially complete with only seasonal deficiencies remaining in the project.
December 2020
The project is in the warranty/deficiency phase and should be complete in early 2021.
October 2020
Construction continues on this project.
July 2020
Construction continues on this project.
October 2019
This project is currently in construction. The
facility is scheduled to be substantially complete in spring of 2021.
