About the Project

Lethbridge Fish and Game (LFGA) has been operating a shooting facility for over 90 years in Lethbridge.  The main design and infrastructure in place was built in the 1980s.  The facility is used by the 1600 plus LFGA members along with Government enforcement groups, security forces and many regional clubs and the general public.

The purpose of this project is to upgrade the facility to a primary projectile management facility that exceeds current standards for shooting ranges to ensure its long-term operation.

Enhancements will be made to the following to the definition of no blue sky:

  • ground and aerial baffles
  • backstops
  • bullet traps
  • shooting stations
  • mobility access
  • target bases
  • sound attenuation,
  • flags/wind gauges
