Current Status In Progress
Time line March to October 31, 2019

About the Project

In order to protect this important City infrastructure and maintain safe conditions to residents, it is necessary to maintain the bridges in our transportation network. The eastbound Whoop-Up bridge was built in 1973 and the coating now needs to be replaced to maintain the integrity of this structure.

This project includes the removal of existing paint by sandblasting and re-painting (coating) the structure of the bridge.

Project Updates

Oct 2019: As of Saturday, October 26, work is completed and all lanes of Whoop-Up Drive re-opened.

May 2019: From Friday May 31 and for the remainder of the project (estimated to finish Oct, 2019) one eastbound lane and one westbound lane will be closed on the Whoop-Up Drive bridge deck.
