Unacceptable Items
These items are not acceptable for E-Waste recycling:
- No items containing freon
- No lighting, bulbs or lamps
- No garage door openers
- No lawn equipment or garden tools
- No commercial items. Household items only.
*Many of these items are included as part of the new ARMA pilot project.
For the duration of the pilot, there will be no charge for Albertans to recycle these items. The pilot runs until September 2022. With data gathered from this project, ARMA will provide the government with critical information to create a plan to modernize the electronics recycling program.
