Shredded Paper

Shredded paper is recyclable since it just paper, but unfortunately it is difficult to collect all the small pieces of paper.

What do I do with my shredded paper?

Shredded paper is recyclable, be sure to bag it in a clear plastic bag and bring it to one of the recycling stations to be recycled as paper.

What's the best option for managing my shredded paper?

The most impactful thing you can do is to reduce the amount of paper you use and the amount of paper you might need to shred. Try going paperless on things like bills, receipts, and confidential statements.

You can reuse the unprinted side of paper to write household notes and lists. Shredded paper can be used as animal bedding or as crafts!

Finally, recycle your shredded paper by removing any contaminates and collecting the paper in a large clear plastic bag. Make sure the bag is tied tightly and place it in the paper collection bin at one of the recycling sites.
