Never flush or pour fats, oils or grease down the sink, drains or toilets! These substances will clog your home's and the City's pipes and which lead to expensive repairs. If not disposed of properly, fats, oils or grease can end up in our environment and are toxic to fish and other animals.

Try cutting back on the amount of cooking oils you use by using non-stick pans.

There is a special area for collection of this item at the Waste and Recycling Centre - please ask scale house operator for directions on site. For more about Household Hazardous waste like cooking oil click here.
If in very small amounts put cooking oil in a sealed container or let fats and grease solidify then put in your black cart.
