Did you know? There are a number of fun events and activities related to waste reduction throughout the year!  They are a great way to start or get more involved in reducing waste and helping the environment.

Waste Reduction Week

Each year during the third week of October, Waste Reduction Week occurs across Canada. The event engages and empowers Canadians to reduce, reuse and recycle.  Click here for more information about Waste Reduction Week.

Environment Week 

Environment Week is a national event taking place in June.  Get involved and show your love for the environment.  Click here for more information about Environment Week.

Reuse Rendezvous

Reuse Rendezvous is held in the Spring (April) and Fall (September).  Take part in this event and help reduce landfill waste and find yourself some free goods!  To find out more about Reuse Rendezvous click here.

Pitch-In, Coulee and Shoreline Clean-Ups

Pitch-In is a national litter picking campaign. You can participate anytime of year in Lethbridge!  Lethbridge is beautiful - together we can keep it a clean, green community.  To find out more about Pitch-In click here.

Coulee Clean-Up is aimed at preserving and protecting the environment of the Lethbridge river valley by removing garbage and debris from natural areas. Shoreline Clean-Up helps keep our local waterways clean by picking up garbage along the banks of the Oldman River!  For more information on Coulee and Shoreline Clean-ups click here.  

Yellow Fish Road 

Yellow Fish Road is a free storm drain painting program that promotes awareness about urban runoff pollution with various groups such as school classes, eco clubs, youth groups, neighborhood groups, or even your family/friends! To find out more about Yellow Fish Road click here.
