Yellow Fish Road/Pitch-In CHALLENGE

NEW this year! The Yellow Fish Road and Pitch-In Programs have combined to offer a  CHALLENGE for schools, youth groups, and families in Lethbridge!

How do I enter the Challenge?

Participate in both the Yellow Fish Road and the Pitch-In Programs and you will be eligible to win a prize for your class, youth group, or family. The challenge runs from April to the end of August (schools will have until June 5th to enter)
If you are a school group or youth group: Your group or classroom will be entered to win a pizza party.
If you are a family: Your family will be entered to win a Gift Card that will cover a day at the Calgary Zoo or the Telus Spark Science Centre (there will be one draw for each)!

What do I need to do in order to participate?

1. Contact Stephanie Vehnon, at to get a Yellow Fish Road kit and Pitch-In bags.
2. Collect garbage in your neighbourhood or school yard - TAKE A PICTURE and send it to Stephanie Vehnon (

What is the Yellow Fish Road Program?​

Yellow Fish Road™ is a free storm drain painting program that promotes awareness about urban runoff pollution with various groups such as school classes, eco clubs, youth groups, neighborhood groups, or even your family! Sign up your group or family today!

What is the Pitch-In Program?

Pitch-In is a national litter picking campaign. This year Pitch In Week is from April 19th - May 2nd! Pitch In Canada records participation across the country during Pitch In Week but you can clean up litter any time. We will provide bags and a pick up for anyone who chooses to help clean up the community.

Q. Do I have to do both programs?
A. No, BUT to be entered into a draw to win the prizes above, a classroom, group, or family must participate in both programs. Anyone may participate in either program separately, but they will not be part of this specific challenge.

Q. Is there a cost to participate in either program?
A. No, there is no cost to participate in the Yellow Fish Road or the Pitch In program. We will provide the supplies needed.
