- Darrell Mathews, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, provided a verbal update to Lethbridge City Council including explanations of the Provincial Education Tax increasing, changes to infrastructure funding and other potential impacts that will place financial pressures on municipalities and local taxpayers. Council voted to receive the presentation as information. Read the full news release here
- Council voted 7-2 in favour an Official Business Motion from Councillor Ryan Wolfe regarding Parking Enforcement Improvement. The matter will now head to Community Issues Committee on June 16
- Council voted 8-1 in favour of an Official Business Motion from Councillor Rajko Dodic regarding St. Laurent Exchange Program Funding Increase Request. This approves 2026 and 2027 operating budget allocations to be increased by $25,000 in each year, totaling up to $50,000, to be funded as a one-time allocation from Council Contingencies. The $25,000 annual increase, together with yearly Cost of Living Adjustments (COLA), will be referred to the 2028-2031 Operating Budget deliberations as a new initiative
- Council voted to accept an Administration Submission on 2026 Public Auction Reserve Bids. This sets the reserve bids for each parcel of land and designated manufactured home to offer for sale at the Public Tax Auction scheduled for Thursday, April 2, at 11 a.m. in the Culver City Meeting Room at City Hall
- As part of the Consent Agenda approval, recommendations of the Community Issues Committee for Bylaw 6512 (Amendment to Bylaw 5270) Noise Bylaw, as well as Parade Resourcing, were carried
