    The 2025 Council and Standing Policy Committee meeting calendar is set. At its annual Organizational Meeting on Tuesday, Lethbridge City Council approved the meeting calendar and voted to confirm administration appointments to its Boards, Commissions and Committees (BCC).

    Blaine Hyggen, Mayor of the City of Lethbridge, has provided notice that a Special Closed Meeting of City Council will be held at 11 :00 AM. on October 24, 2024, in the Council Chamber, City Hall, City of Lethbridge, with the following item on the Agenda: 

    Labour Negotiations Update (FOIP Section 24).

    This Notice is provided more than 24 hours in advance of the said meeting and is therefore in compliance with Sections 194 and 196 of the Municipal Government Act and Section 70 of Bylaw 6250 - The Procedure Bylaw.

  • New initiative promotes pedestrian safety at crosswalks

    As October is Pedestrian Safety Month, the City of Lethbridge would like to raise awareness of a new signal timing initiative for increased pedestrian safety. Leading Pedestrian Intervals (LPI), also known as a Pedestrian Head Start Signal, provide advanced walk signals allowing pedestrians to begin to cross the street before vehicles get a green signal.
