  • Bridge work to resume on Scenic Drive over Whoop-Up Drive

    Rehabilitation work on the Scenic Drive Bridge over Whoop-Up Drive will resume on Monday, July 3, wrapping on approximately August 31 weather and site conditions permitting. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and observe the on-site posted speed and all other construction signs.

  • Road Closure Barrier
    Partial Road Closure - Stafford Drive North

    Effective immediately, the outside southbound lane on Stafford Drive North will be closed between Stafford Avenue North and 13A Avenue North so crews can complete a water service repair. Southbound traffic will be maintained in the inside southbound lane. This work is expected to be completed by end of day June 30, weather permitting.

  • All lanes of Whoop-Up Drive now open

    Thank you to residents for their patience and understanding. 

  • Indigenous artists sought for Orange Shirt design

    In preparation for this year’s Reconciliation Week, the Reconciliation Lethbridge Advisory Committee (RLAC) and the City of Lethbridge are seeking local Indigenous artists to submit their Orange Shirt designs.

  • Canada Day Transit schedule and events reminder

    With limited parking around Henderson Lake Park, residents and visitors can use free Transit to avoid traffic when heading down to the Canada Day celebrations.

  • Road Closure Barrier
    Partial road closure Metis Trail and Whoop up Drive Roundabout

    Effective immediately, the outside turning lane from Whoop Up Drive West onto Metis Trail West will be closed so crews can complete a catch basin repair.

  • Canada Day 2023 Service Level Changes

    Saturday, July 1, is Canada Day. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes that day and on Monday, July 3.

  • They’re baaaaaack, goats returning this summer!

    For the past five summers, goats have been used to help control invasive weeds in select areas of the river valley, and since the introduction of the program over 750 hectares of invasive weeds have been grazed.

  • Road Closure Barrier
    Westbound Whoop-Up Drive speed limit to be lowered from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday

    On Tuesday, June 27, from noon until 2 p.m., the speed limit on westbound Whoop-Up Drive will be reduced to 60 km/h and the exterior lane will be closed. This will allow crews to collect further information required in the update to 2022 Bridge Rehabilitation project.
