Simple gestures of kindness can make a world of difference to those impacted by an emergency. To best support our community, the City of Lethbridge is looking to bolster its list of Emergency Social Services (ESS) volunteers, who are on the frontlines to help those in need.  

Get ready for a rink-rocking, heart-stirring Friday night as the Lethbridge Hurricanes Hockey Club blaze onto the ice at the ENMAX Centre to bring the heat for a good cause.

Pruning of city trees has been completed along 13 Street South.  Crews have begun working on their final location, in between 3 to 6 Ave South and 9 to 13 Street South, today.

Although this plant looks harmless, it is an invasive species and is provincially regulated in Alberta as a noxious weed.

I want to begin this month with the news that the City of Lethbridge is pleased to support the Government of Alberta, Lethbridge Housing Authority and the Blood Tribe Department of Health with the expansion of the Lethbridge Shelter, through an in-kind contribution of the property.

Highlights from the February 13, 2024, meeting of Lethbridge City Council.

Amendment to the West Lethbridge Phase II Area Structure Plan to  add an additional school site and allow for other housekeeping items within the ASP document.

A concurrent Land Use Bylaw Amendment – Bylaw 6433, is also being bought to Council for consideration.

Amendment to Land Use Bylaw 6300 to rezone the parcels for the development of an elementary school.

A concurrent amendment to the West Lethbridge Phase II Area Structure Plan is also being brought to Council for consideration.

Monday, February 19, 2024 is Family Day. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes.
