Work transitions to winter response. 

As part of Lethbridge Transit’s continuous improvement process, schedule changes will be implemented starting tomorrow, Wednesday October 18.

Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services responded to a house fire near 10 Street and 11 Avenue South at about 3:20 p.m. on Friday, October 13.

Please be advised that 6 Avenue South, at the intersection of 7 Street South, will be reduced to one lane for westbound traffic beginning on Thursday, October 12. This lane reduction is required in order to facilitate waterline renewal work. Crews will be working to have this filled and paved as quickly as possible.

The new Inclusive and Accessible Play Space at Galt Gardens is now open. Located immediately adjacent to the Rotary Centennial Fountain in the southeast corner of the four-hectare park, the new space features inclusive and accessible play equipment, rubber surfacing, a plaza space and park furniture.

Effective immediately, 13 Street North will be closed between 13 Avenue and 15 Avenue so crews can complete a new service installation. This work is expected to be completed by end of day October 20, weather permitting.

On Tuesday, October 10, the City of Lethbridge will be completing a planned power outage along 10 Avenue and 10A Avenue South between 17 Street & 17A Street South beginning at 8:30 a.m. The outage is expected to be completed by 3 p.m. This outage will affect approximately 13 residences.
