Life in Lethbridge

Lethbridge is Alberta’s third largest city that is two hours south of Calgary and one hour from the U.S. border. This sunny and breezy city offers a unique quality of life by providing the best of both rural and urban lifestyles in one place. Lethbridge is literally the epicenter for several UNESCO World Heritage sites in southern Alberta — making it one of the most sought-after destinations in the province. Adventure is only a short drive away!

From Waterton Lakes National Park to the many ski resorts in the nearby Rockies, this city is at the center of it all. And with its own unique landscape — from 234 km of running trails to river valleys and coulees — its family-friendly atmosphere provides opportunities not just for professionals but for their families as well.

Living in Lethbridge, you'll have an opportunity to explore over 70 parks, 14 pools and arenas, 10 arts and culture facilities and 3 post-secondary institutions. You'll also enjoy a commute that is less than 15 minutes, giving you the opportunity to spend more time doing the things you love outside of work. And finding a home is more affordable than other major cities, with the average resale price for a home in Lethbridge being $341,8691 (compared to $516,904 in Calgary in 2022).

Life in Lethbridge strikes a balance between the feel of a close-knit small community and the services and amenities of a growing urban center.

Everyone who chooses to work, live, and play here knows - Lethbridge is a place unlike any other. A small city with a huge heart. Home to more than 100,000 people. We can’t help but be proud of what makes us special, the people: our friends, our neighbours, our family. Our community.
