Join a board, commission or committee
There are several boards, commissions and committees (BCCs) in Lethbridge run by citizens, organizational representatives and City staff that help represent the community in Council decisions on a variety of topics.

Volunteer at the animal shelter
Book volunteer time at the animal shelter if you are someone who needs to complete specific volunteer hours for school or a community organization. Volunteer activities include:
- Assisting staff with daily cleaning, feeding, and basic care

Help connect visitors with exhibit programs, mentor participants through environmental education programs, report sightings from the trail or help out behind the scenes. No experience is necessary and training and support will be provided.
