Join the Lethbridge and Area Métis Association (LAMA) on October 3, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Nikka Yuko Japanese Gardens for "The Path Forward: Truth, Reconciliation, and Community Knowledge." This relaxed, come-and-go community event offers an opportunity to learn about Métis history and residential school experiences. With presentations on Resiliency from Elder Kerrie Moore, live performance and teachings by Joel Gladue, survivor storytelling, safety discussions with the Police Chief, and complimentary traditional refreshments. Everyone in the community is welcome to connect, learn, and celebrate Metis resilience together. Free registration is required to attend the lunch portion of the event.

Singer-songwriter, entertainer, TV personality, and women’s music pioneer, Connie Kaldor is celebrating over 45 years in show business! At 72, she is not slowing down!

Her 19th album, Wide Open Spaces, draws on her roots in the Canadian Prairies!

She began her career in folk music as part of the Canadian wave alongside artists like Stan Rogers and Valdy. Armed with her enormous stage presence, her unforgettable melodies, and her emotional depth as a songwriter, Connie became a headline act on the festival circuit. Her extensive touring has earned her a loyal fan base that extends far beyond the traditional boundaries of folk, and the Boston Globe has described her as “a masterful performer, wildly funny one moment, deeply personal the next.”

An evening of domestic blunders, bloopers, and baggage awaits as professional stand-up comedians and their partners take the stage to air out their dirty laundry, while getting the best possible advice from the most (un)qualified, fully (not fully at all) licensed, (non)professionals.

Audiences will also have the chance to write anonymous questions for the couples before the show, just to spice things up. Come for the laughs, stay for the drama as we share a night (and maybe a few fights) you'll never forget!

The show has been featured on the CBC, Just For Laughs Vancouver, & the Georgia Straight. We have showcased Canada's top talent including several Juno Award Winners.
