Canada Day Transit schedule and events reminder

With limited parking around Henderson Lake Park, residents and visitors can use free Transit to avoid traffic when heading down to the Canada Day celebrations.

Transit service will be free after 7 p.m. and the 3 cityLINK green route and 4 cityLINK orange route will both be extended until 11:45 p.m. to ensure riders can enjoy the fireworks before having to depart. For information on route schedules, click here.

Riders can use any stop along the designated routes or choose to park their vehicle at one of the exterior Transit hub locations, including the Park ‘n’ Ride, Crossings Station (Cavendish Farms Centre), South Gate Station or the Sherring Station.

Canana Day celebrations in the northeast end of Henderson Lake Park will begin at noon. Activities include the food hub, kids’ zone, youth market and live performers, with the fireworks set to begin at 11 p.m. at Henderson Lake Park.

Celebrations are free to attend and welcoming for all residents and visitors. Stay up to date with all Canada Day details here.
