Road and Facility Closures

Access to businesses will not be impacted but, starting Monday, June 22, some warranty repair work will briefly affect some sidewalk access and the adjacent bike lanes on 4 Avenue South and 7 Street South.

The annual Pride Parade returns to downtown Lethbridge this Saturday, June 20. The route and road closures are the same as last year. 

Starting Tuesday at 9 a.m., the inside eastbound lane of Scenic Drive South, near the Country Club Road, will be closed to allow access for crews to complete a sewer main repair.

The turning bay from northbound Scenic Drive South onto 16 Avenue South will be closed starting today to allow access for crews making sidewalk improvements.

South Lethbridge motorists will see temporary detours this week as a key intersection closes for final construction work.

Each year, the City of Lethbridge works to improve road conditions around the city through the milling and paving program. The 2026 program is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 26.

Drivers should expect delays along a small stretch of Scenic Drive South as electrical crews continue their work.
