  • Road Closures for 6 Street Block Party Downtown Saturday

    To accommodate the annual Lethbridge Block Party on Saturday, June 14, the following road closures will be in effect starting at 7 a.m. that day:

    • 6 Street South between 3 Avenue and 4 Avenue
    • 3 Avenue South between 5 Street and 7 Street
    • 4 Avenue South between 6 Street and 7 Street
  • 13 Street North impacted by a sewer repair

    A sewer service repair is impacting a small stretch of 13 Street North.

  • Multiple lane closures on Whoop-Up Drive

    Starting today, two consecutive projects on Whoop-Up Drive will affect eastbound and westbound commuters. 

  • Single-day lane closure on Whoop-Up Drive bridge

    The outer eastbound lane of the Whoop-Up Drive bridge will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4. 

  • New traffic calming features help curb speeding in Lethbridge

    Commuters in Lethbridge will notice some new traffic calming features this spring. Traffic calming curbs and digital speed feedback signs have been installed on selected roadways throughout the city to help reduce driving speeds.

    Two speed feedback signs will be installed on Whoop-Up Drive on Friday, May 23, 2025. Commuters can expect partial lane closures. 

  • Pothole patching season is heating up

    As the weather heats up, road construction season follows suit.  

    The City of Lethbridge’s Transportation Operations department has been completing minor road repairs since mid-April. With outdoor temperatures warming up, those efforts are moving into high gear. 

  • Construction season continues in north Lethbridge

    Two water-related projects, on 13 Street North and 5 Avenue North, may impact northside commuters. 

  • Construction season ramping up in west Lethbridge

    Repairs to a pedestrian ramp will impact motorists and pedestrians on University Drive West. 

    The ramp, at the southeast corner of University Drive and Heritage Boulevard West, will be closed. All pedestrian traffic will be routed back one block, to Heritage Crescent West.
