Service Level Changes for National Day for Truth and Reconciliation 2026

Wednesday, September 30, is National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. The City of Lethbridge will have service level changes.

Lethbridge 311
The Lethbridge 311 contact centre is closed. Regular hours resume on October 1, from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

In-person 311 at City Hall is closed. Regular hours resume on October 1, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

City Hall
City Hall is closed. Regular hours resume on October 1, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Waste Services
The Waste and Recycling Centre is closed. Regular hours resume on October 1, from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Wednesday collections are moved to Saturday, October 3.

Community Animal Services
Community Animal Services and the Lethbridge Animal Shelter are closed. Regular hours resume October 1, from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

The public can access services on the website at any time including dog license payments, appointment booking, online complaint reporting and searching a list of found pets impounded at the shelter. For emergency animal control matters, call 403-320-4099.

Transit Service
Ride on Demand and Fixed Route transit schedules run on Sunday service, 8 a.m. - 7 p.m.

The Lethbridge Transit customer service desk at City Centre station is closed. Regular hours resume on October 1, from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Access-A-Ride
Access-A-Ride booking and customer service are closed. Regular hours resume on October 1, from 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Galt Museum & Archives/Fort Whoop-Up
The Galt Museum is open from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m.

Fort Whoop-Up is closed for the season.

Helen Schuler Nature Centre
The Helen Schuler Nature Centre is closed. Regular hours resume on October 1, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Lethbridge Public Library
Both branches of the Lethbridge Public Library are closed. Regular hours resume on October 1, from 10 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Main Branch) and 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. (Crossings Branch).
